THE RIGHT STARTING POINT
Small maintenance tasks are easier than avoidable emergencies.
Outdated plugins, untested updates, and forgotten backups can turn a routine change into a larger problem. A maintenance arrangement makes the regular tasks and responsibilities clear, with a sensible plan for issues that need more attention.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
For WordPress business sites that need reliable upkeep, owners who want technical help with upgrades, and websites recovering from a period without maintenance.
WHAT WE CAN COVER
A clear scope.
Useful deliverables.
01
An initial site review
Understand the hosting, theme, plugins, licences, existing backups, and the website’s most important features.
02
Updates with checks
Plan WordPress, theme, and plugin updates, using a staging workflow where the site and hosting support it.
03
Backup & compatibility review
Check the agreed backup arrangement and review important compatibility concerns before changes.
04
Clear support boundaries
Agree the maintenance frequency, what is covered, how issues are reported, and how additional work is quoted.
The proposal confirms exactly what is included, the dependencies, and the responsibilities on each side.
HOW IT WORKS
From the first question
to a clear next step.
01
Review the setup
Take stock of the site and identify issues that should be addressed before routine maintenance begins.
02
Agree the care plan
Define the update routine, testing, backup responsibilities, communication, and support scope.
03
Maintain & report
Carry out the agreed checks and changes, summarise the work, and flag anything requiring a separate decision.

One point of contact.
Personal accountability.
EctivePro is an independent, developer-led business. You work directly with the person planning and building your project.
If specialist help would benefit the work, it is discussed with you first. Scope, communication, and responsibility stay clear.
BEFORE WE START
Good questions.
Straight answers.
Does maintenance include redesigns or new features?
Routine care and feature development are different scopes. Small changes can be included if agreed, while larger improvements are estimated separately.
Are hosting and plugin licences included?
Only if the proposal explicitly includes them. Third-party costs, ownership, renewals, and responsibilities are identified when the maintenance arrangement is agreed.
Can you upgrade an older WordPress website?
Yes, subject to a review of the hosting, theme, plugins, and backup position. Older sites may need compatibility work before they can move safely to newer versions.
Is support available around the clock?
No round-the-clock coverage is implied. Availability, communication, and any response expectations are agreed in the support scope.
LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR PROJECT
Discuss a website care plan.
Share the site address, hosting provider, any current problems, and how the website is used. Mention paid plugin licences and existing backup or support arrangements so the plan does not duplicate or overlook them.
