Should You Move Your Website to a New Platform?

Changing platforms can unlock better editing, performance, security, or workflows. It can also create avoidable cost if the current problem is really content, structure, or ownership. Define the reason before choosing the tool.

Check the trade-offs

Compare editing needs, content migration, integrations, hosting, accessibility, SEO controls, permissions, backups, training, and exit options. Make a list of what must not break: URLs, forms, search visibility, accounts, and business data.

Plan the move as a product change

Inventory the current site, map redirects, test a representative set of pages, and decide who owns the new system after launch. A platform change is successful when it improves the work, not merely when the new dashboard looks modern.

Bring a replatforming question to an early technical conversation.
